The effect of temperature on the wheat germ oil extraction efficiency was examined over the range of 45–135 C. The temperature range was chosen to minimize degradation of heat-sensitive bioactive compounds present in the wheat germ, but at the same time to explore the extraction rates at higher temperatures.
