We then discuss in detail the current state of the energy mix of Pakistan. Subsequently, we show that annual production of about 121 MT of agricultural residues, 427 MT of animal manure, and 7.5 MT of MSW in Pakistan offer a variety of bioenergy options ranging from biofuels to bio-electricity production.
